Welcome to the Cuisine Classique Cooking School FAQ page! Here, you’ll find answers to our most commonly asked questions about our cooking classes for adults and kids, including schedules, registration, cancellations, and what to expect during your culinary experience. Whether you’re interested in learning gourmet cooking techniques, enrolling your child in a fun and educational cooking camp, or booking a private class for a special event, we’ve got you covered.   • What types of cooking classes do you offer?
    We offer a variety of cooking classes for both adults and children. Most adult classes are held in the evenings, and our Basics of Gourmet Cooking Series takes place on select Saturday afternoons. For children, we offer specialized kids’ camps during certain times of the year. Check our online schedule for specific dates.
  • What can I expect during a class?
    Hands-on experience: You’ll prepare every dish on the menu. • Small class sizes: 4–12 participants. • We provide all ingredients, tools, aprons, and recipes. • After cooking, we’ll sit down together to enjoy the meal.
  • How long are the classes?
    Most classes last about three hours and include a full meal, recipes, and wine pairings.
  • How can I register for a class?
    You can register online by navigating to the class you wish to join and following the instructions for booking. If you have any questions or trouble registering online, please don't hesitate to give us a call at (520) 797-1677 or email us at customercare@cuisineclassique.com. We are here to assist you with any questions and ensure you get registered smoothly.
  • What should I wear to class?
    We require closed-toe shoes for safety. We will provide aprons.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    • General Classes: A reservation canceled 72 hours in advance of class entitles you to a full credit for your reservation to another available class (selected at the time of your cancellation) with appropriate payment for any additional costs. If you do not cancel before the 72 hour period or can not send a replacement, we’ll send you the recipes for the unattended class, if requested. • Kid’s Camps: Cancel at least 2 weeks in advance for a full refund. Late cancellations may receive a partial refund, with a minimum of one day’s cost retained. • There are NO refunds or transfers with less than 72 hours notice. We cannot refund partially or in full for cooking courses after the course has begun.
  • Where are your classes held?
    Our classes are held at the Burden Home, located at 1060 West Magee Road, Tucson, Arizona, 85704. We’re between Oracle Road and La Cañada on Magee Road, on the north side of the street. Look for white lights in the trees and a sign out front. For more detailed directions, please visit our Contact page on the website.
  • Are there age restrictions for the classes?
    Yes, adult classes are open to individuals aged 15 and older.
  • Can I use a gift certificate to register for a class?
    Yes! If you have received your gift certificate prior to January 2025, please give us a call to register for the class and bring the printed gift certificate to class. If you have received your digital gift card after January 2025, you should be able to use this card to book directly online.   • How can I subscribe to your newsletter?

  • Do you offer private or custom classes?
    Absolutely! We offer private cooking classes for special business team-building events. Visit our Corporate Events page or contact us at (520) 797-1677 or customercare@cuisineclassique.com for more details.
  • Do you ever cancel classes due to low enrollment?
    We may cancel classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment requirement. In such cases, prepaid class fees will be refunded or transferred to another class. We generally require a minimum of 6 students per class. Please note that there are no refunds for gift certificates, although they are transferable.
  • Are there any risks involved with cooking classes?
    Cooking involves inherent risks, such as sharp tools, hot surfaces, and slippery floors. Cuisine Classique LLC is not liable for any injuries, loss, or damage. Safety measures are in place, and we require participants to wear closed-toe shoes. We also provide a safety briefing at the beginning of each class to ensure everyone is aware of the potential hazards and how to avoid them.
  • What should I bring to class?
    You don't need to bring anything. We furnish all food, tools needed and aprons.
  • Can I get my personal knives sharpened?
    Yes! We can sharpen them for you during class or open house. You also may call and drop your knives off anytime. The charge is $4 per blade (if you bring cash) more for other forms of payment.
  • Do you offer cooking camps for kids?
    Yes! Our kids’ cooking camps are a fun, hands-on experience designed to teach essential cooking skills in a safe and engaging environment.
  • What do kids learn during the camps?
    Kids will learn: • Basic cooking techniques. • Kitchen safety. • How to prepare a variety of dishes. • The importance of teamwork and creativity in the kitchen.
  • What ages are the kids’ camps for?
    Our kids’ camps are typically designed for children aged 7 to 14. Specific age requirements may vary by camp, so please check the camp details when registering.
  • How do I register my child for a camp?

  • What is included in the kids’ camps?
    All ingredients, tools, aprons, and recipes are provided. Each child will create and enjoy the meals they prepare.
  • When do kids’ camps take place?
    Kids’ camps are usually held during school breaks or summer vacation. Check our schedule online or contact us for upcoming dates.
  • What is the cancellation policy for kids’ camps?
    Reservations must be canceled at least 2 weeks before the camp starts for a full refund. Late cancellations may receive a partial refund, but a minimum of one day’s cost will be retained. No-shows will not be refunded.
  • Are there safety measures in place for kids’ camps?
    Yes, we prioritize safety in all camps. Children will be supervised at all times and taught proper kitchen safety, including handling utensils and appliances. Closed-toe shoes are required for participation.
